The best yu-gi-oh game so far
The great difference between this game and the others is that this one you actually walk around. First it takes you back to Duelist Kingdom where you need to build a powerful deck and beat Maximillion Pegasus. Then you go through Battle City which is a lot tougher and at the end face Marick. This game would be the best game to all people who like yu-gi-oh, people who do not watch the show would still love this game.

The tv show on the gba.. Its time to duel....
The Sacred Cards is reasonable adaptation of the Yugioh tv series. It follows the battle city storyline which is good in the way it lets you take part in the cartoon but could make it predictable for some. The game plays much like the pokemon games, you walk around finding opponents to duel in order to win cards. It all looks pretty good and is a lot more involving than the previous gba Yugioh games static menu systems.
While the rpg element makes getting to the duels more interesting the actual duelling itself is a rather basic stripped down version which dosent offer the same level of tactics as the Yugioh Eternal Duelist or Worldwide Edition gba games. If you have played either of those then this game in terms of graphics, presentation and play falls a bit short when it comes to duelling, with the only real tactics involved being assembling your deck due to a new points totalling system. It dosent offer much of an introduction so it will probably seem easy and basic to experienced players and yet still complicated to newbies.
It is an enjoyable game however and if youre a fan of the cartoon show you are bound to like it. If you liked Eternal Duelist or Worldwide Edition then expect this game to provide an enjoyable distraction for a while but not any advanced duelling.

Well balanced RPG
Great controls, has a very good story line, in my opinion, not enough kaiba in it, the deck building can be quite furstrating because obviously the best cards to build up your deck cost the most points, but get the points and youll get the cards, including the gods.
